Community Endorsements

Mesa City Council races are nonpartisan, and I've always believed local government is where that matters most. The issues facing District 4, such as growth, housing, public safety, and quality of life, don't belong to any party. I'm deeply grateful to have earned support from people across the political spectrum who have dedicated years to serving Mesa in exactly that spirit. Their support reflects the kind of coalition I hope to build as your councilmember.

District 4 isn’t just where I served as Vice Mayor and Councilmember. It’s home. Five generations of my family have lived in the district, so choosing who represents this district matters deeply to me. When I served District 4, my focus was always on listening to residents and doing what was right for the community. That’s exactly what I see in Nick Willis. Nick understands our district, respects different viewpoints, and brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to leadership. I believe in him, and I’m honored to support Nick Willis for Mesa City Council.

I've had the privilege of knowing Nick Willis for more than ten years. He is smart, thoughtful, and passionate about helping Mesa be the best it can be. I have watched him listen to others and learn from the information they shared. He doesn't believe he knows everything and he treats the opinions of others with respect. Nick is a man who lives what he believes and he believes in service. He has chaired the City's Museum & Cultural Advisory Board and is a member of the Foundation Board for the Arizona Museum of Natural History and the Mesa Historic Preservation Foundation. I've seen him participate in service that helps individuals as well as the larger community. Service is one of his core values. I am happy that he has chosen to serve all of us in Mesa, by running for the City Council. I am pleased to be able to endorse Nick WIllis for Mesa City Council, District Four.

I am pleased to endorse Nick Willis as a councilmember on the Mesa City Council.  Nick has been a champion for the City serving on multiple boards and committees.  Together, we serve on the Arizona Museum of Natural History Board Foundation.  On the foundation, he leads the governance committee and has proven himself to be a successful and hard-working board member.  He is a thoughtful and an intelligent individual whose contributions have been extremely valuable.  Join me in supporting Nick Willis as council member in District 4.

I'm proud to endorse Nick Willis for my Mesa City Council seat. With extreme politics increasingly infiltrating local government, District 4 needs a leader who embodies Mesa's family-oriented values, and cares about listening to everyone. Nick's lifetime of community service demonstrates his commitment to listening, learning, and putting residents first. As Mesa continues evolving into one of America's most desirable cities, Nick has the balanced perspective and dedication we need to keep moving forward together.

I have spent nearly a decade on the Mesa City Council fighting for working families, small businesses, and communities that too often get left behind. When I look at Nick Willis, I see someone who understands that Mesa’s future has to work for everyone, not just the people who already have a seat at the table. Nick listens, he shows up, and he puts in the work. District 4 will be well served by Nick Willis, and I am proud to endorse him for Mesa City Council

Nick Willis is running because he believes Mesa’s future should work for everyone. That future is dependent on investing in our students today. When we invest in education we make an investment in our economy, our democracy and in each other.

As an effective communicator, collaborator and creative thinker, Nick has the vision and energy to mobilize the financial resources and human talents needed to support the 50,000 students learning in Mesa Public School. He will strengthen the vibrant partnership between Mesa Public Schools and the City of Mesa that provides engaging opportunities for kids and families throughout our community. His dedicated leadership will bring us together: the service organizations, non-profits, faith communities, artists, health institutions, entrepreneurs, public servants, corporations and colleges in meaningful collaboration with schools to best meet the strengths and needs of every student. Strong schools. Strong community.

Nick Willis will work to make the future work for all of us.
