District 4 isn’t just where I served as Vice Mayor and Councilmember. It’s home. Five generations of my family have lived in the district, so choosing who represents this district matters deeply to me. When I served District 4, my focus was always on listening to residents and doing what was right for the community. That’s exactly what I see in Nick Willis. Nick understands our district, respects different viewpoints, and brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to leadership. I've had the privilege of knowing Nick Willis for more than ten years. He is smart, thoughtful, and passionate about helping Mesa be the best it can be. I have watched him listen to others and learn from the information they shared. He doesn't believe he knows everything and he treats the opinions of others with respect. Nick is a man who lives what he believes and he believes in service. He has chaired the City's Museum & Cultural Advisory Board and is a member of the Foundation Board for the Arizona Museum of Natural History and the Mesa Historic Preservation Foundation. I've seen him participate in service that helps individuals as well as the larger community. Service is one of his core values. I am happy that he has chosen to serve all of us in Mesa, by running for the City Council. I am pleased to be able to endorse Nick WIllis for Mesa City Council, District Four.
